THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY.

CHEESE FACTORY AT TE KUITI.

The cheese industry is to be started at Te Kuiti during the coming season. Mr W.Gadsby has arranged to establish a number of share milkers on his' property, and has also made arrangements for the erection of a cheese facory on the property to which the milk will be supplied. The factory is to be erected and managed by Mr William Poole, a Well known expert from the Mangaweka district who has a high reputation for cheese making. Mr Poole ia to erect the plant and find all material, and will charge a penny per lb on all cheese manufactured. Mr Gadsby intends to erect four milking sheds and expects to milk from 260 to 300 cows. The price of cheese of recent years has been extremely good, and though the number of cows it is expected to supply to the factory is not large it is anticipated the favourable conditions under which the factory can be run will result in a highly payable return.
