RAILWAY REQUIREMENTS.

TE KUITI TO FRANKTON. In connection with the request made by Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce that a passenger car should be attached to the evening goods train from Te Kuiti to Frankton the following reply has been received from the Minister:— "I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 14th inst. in regard to the suggestion that a passenger-car should be attached to the 6 p.m. goods train from Te Kuiti to Frankton to ensure a regular communication between the two places in the afternoon. In reply I shall be glad to look > carefully into this request with my responsible officers and will let you know in due course whether it can be given effect to.—Arthur M. Myers."
