Mr Roosevelt's supporters are haranguing the Convention delegates continuously. Altogether President Tnft has received 135 contesten delegate? and -Air Roosevelt 10. Mr Roosevelt declares that the light is the people against perpetual policians, thieves and corrupt leaders. Londuii, Monday. The fate of the Republican party in America, in connection with the selection of a candidate for the Presidency, is stated by the Chicago correspondent of the Daily Mail to be now resting with 100 negro delegates, whose sole political privilege is limited to voting at the National Convention. The negroes 'nave been sent from the traditionally Democratic Southern States with instructions to vote for Mr Taft, but Mr Roosevelt's managers are stated to be at the negro headquarters regaling the delegates W'tb chicken, drinks and cigars. Mr Taft's managers are, it is alleged, resorting to the same methods. The negroes, dressed in Mark coats, gorgeous ties and patent leather shoes, are passing to and from the hotels of the two rival parties, unperturbed by the charges of bribery. Qne negro it is alleged, has refused a bribe of SOO dollars from the Taft party.
