HANGATIKI.

_ o - Own Correspondent. With reference* to the proposed cheese factory, at the last meeting of the Hangatiki farmers it was resolved to let the proposal for forming a operative factory stand over. ) The bad state of the roads is really responsible fur this result. On Saturday last Mr Boddie, chairman of the Te Kuiti Dairy Company, held a meeting at the Hangatiki school in the interests of the Te Kuiti factory. Mr A. S. Board was voted to the chair, and a fair number of suppliers were present. Mr Boddie, in the course of his speech, maia it quite clear that they would be putting money into their own pockets bv sending the cream to Te Kuiti, the main argument for this immense saving of freignt whicn eventually must make a great difference to the supplies. There _is no doubt the success of the Te _ Kuiti factory is assured, the old maxim of keeping their money in the district should be the policy of every dairyman. The conditions now offered by the Te Kuiti factory are such that there will be very few"(if any) farmers who will not grasu the opportunty that is now at hand/not only to increase their cream cheques right away but increase the value of their farms by supporting a concern than will bring this result about. Several farmers during jhe meeting expressed much satisfaction in the trial they had given the Te Kuiti factory. Mr F. Hyde proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Boddie foAiutting before them this unique c xtttHnity of building up a concern suSn as described. The motiun WH3 seconded by Mr Self and carried by acclamation.
