The New Zealand Times stateß that has offered Sir William Hall-Jones a further extension for three months of his appointment a? High Commissioner, which expires to day. Thiß he has refused, and the position of High Commissioner will be vacant on Saturday. Mr Palliser, secretary to the High Commissioner, will carry on the work pending the appointment of a successor to Sir William Hall-Jones.
