The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd,, report: —• At Te Awamutu on 18th inst. we yarded 718 head of cattle. There was a good demand and early all sold. Prices —Fat cows £5 5s to £5 91s, fleshy cows £4 to £4 10s, store cows £2 6s to £3 13a, 3 to 3J year steers in forward condition £6 2s to £6 15s, 3 year steers £5 7s 6d, 2 to 2% year steers £4 to £4 7s, 20 months steers £3 4s to £3 lis, heifers £3 ss, 3 year heifers in calf £5 15s to £6 10s, 2 to 2£ year heifers £4 6s to £4 17s, springing heifers £S 2s Cd to £9 2s 6d, well grown calves 34s to 41s, other 15s to 255, woolly lambs 7s. At Ohaupo on 21st inst. we had an entry of 730 head Gf cattle, including 150 grown steers. There was a good demand for young cattle, fresh conditioned cows and heifers in calf. The bullocks did not reach reserves. Prices —Two year heifers in calf £4 9s to £5, 18 months to 2 year steers £3 10s to £4 4s, well grown calves 30s to 38s, 18 months empty hefiers £3 5s to £3 7s 6d, empty cows £3 la to £3 18s. fat cows £5 Is to £5 15s.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: —

We held our usual fortnightly <?ale at Ohaupo on 21st inst., when we had a fair yarding. Quotations —18 month steers £3 10s to £3 15s, yearling steers £2 17s 6d, good caives 30s to 32s Gd, 21 year heifers in calf £5 7s, cows £4 17s 6d to £5.

On the 23rd inst. we had a fair yarding of cattle and sheep in the Otorohanga yards, and quote as follows: —'Heifers in calf £6, cows in calf £5 to £7 10s, heifer calves'47s 6d, mixed calves 9s to 3 ss, Holtsein bulls £3 10s, Holstein bull calf 255, Jersey bull calves 20s to 30s, young pigs lis, fat ewes 13s 6d, light wethers 13s, aged ewes 6s 4d, lambs 6s, unbroken fillies £6 15s to £l2 15s, boy's pony £5 10s. We held our usual monthly Bale in the Ngaruawahia ealeyards on the 24th in3t., when we had a fair yarding. There was a fair attendance but bidding was dull. We Quote —18 month steers £3 8s to £3 10s, good calves 475, empty heifers £2 15s, 2\ year heifers in calf [£s 10s, springing heifers £5 10s.

Newton King reports: — At Rahotu on 21st inst. there was only a small yarding. The demand was good for best quality weaners to yearlings. Store cows yarded were of poor quality and dall of sale. Jer-sey-Holstein meaner heifers from £2 9s to £2 15s 6d, grades 27s to 30s, weaner steers 26s to 32s 6d, good mixed 30s to 32s 6d, bad coloured steers 10s 6d to 14s 6d, fat cows £5 Is, store cows £2 10s to £3 15s. aged cows 25s to 30s, stgs. £3 to £o ss, bulls £3 3s, store pigs 20s, 20 months Holtsein bull (R. Morrow's breeding) 25 guineas.
