TE KUITI DEBATING SOCIETY.

The opening of Parliament by the local debating society which was postponed in consequence of the original date fixed for the purpose conflicting with the Pio Pio Medical Fund concert is to take place next Thursday evening in the Municipal Hall. Mr Sharpies, who has been entrusted with the formation of the first Ministry, is preparing a Governor's speech which will be debated on opening night. The syllabus for the season is in course of preparation by the committee, and after next week the meeting nights as originally fixed (Thursday) will be adhered tu. Considerable intierest in the subjects for debate is being manifested by the members and some instructive efforts should result.
