The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: — At Waihou on May 17th we had a small yarding of sheep, but a good entry of cattle. Sheep were not required and" only a few pens were sold. Fat cattle cf which there was a good entry, sold well. Small fat steers £7 12s 6d"to .£8 7a, fat cows and heifers £5 to £(i 6s, 18 months steers £3 10s, springing heifers £6 5s to £7 10s. Calves we-e in better demand than at late sales. Best sorts 36s tq 455, others 28s to 355. At Ngaruawahia on May 15th, we hda full yarding of cattle, chiefly forward bullocks and fat and forward cows, the full entry comprising 11G3 head of cattle, 2259 forward wethers and 729 mixed sheep. Competition was good and practically the whole yarding was disposed of. For forward condition stores there was a really good enquiry, and prices were very similar to Ohaupo rates—if any difference Ngaruawahia the cheaper. Forward 4 and 5 year bullocks £7 12a to £8 17a, but these cattle were not as ixooii as the same aged cattle quoted in Ohaupo sale.
