Received May IS, 10.45 a.m. Sydney, This Day

An iron drum containing ten hundred weight of sulphuric acid, exploded on the wharf, splashing the contents over five men, who were working in the vicinity. A labourer named Granger received the full force of the acid on the face and body. Another labourer named Smith also was frightfully burned, while others were splashed on the arms and face.
