FOOTBALL.

TE KUITI CLUB

The general meeting of the above club was he.ld in the Chronicle office on Saturday evening !a3t. A large number of members and intending members were present. Mr N. G. Matthew (president) occupied the chair.

The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr E. H. Hardy; president, Mr N. C.Matthew; vice-presi-dents, Messrs Falwasser, Howarth, H. Matthew, W. McColl, F. B. Darrow and E. A. Power; committee, Messrs Rothery, A. S. Gresham, J. Pitcon, W. Hornibrook, N. Cole, Williams, S. Clark, Heke and N. B. Lusk ; secretary and treasurer, Mr Hornibrook; club captain, S. Clark; selection committee, Messrs S. Clark, Rothery and C. Williams; delegates to the Maniapoto Rugby Union, Messrs C. Matthew and Rothery. It was resolved that the subscription for the forthcoming season b" Seniors ss, juniors 23 6d. The following names were handed in for registration: Messrs H. Rothery, S. Clark, Hornibrook, Williams, Chamberlain, H. Heke, F. Rothery, D. Gray, J. Crowley, J. Devine, H. Cleaver, W. Bell, N. Cole, D. Sullivan, Joe Kiti, Rehi, Hikaka Hetet, Gresham, V. Kirk, Cecil Boles, A. Longhurst, W. Maher, Manowaite, P. Coldstream, L. Coldstream. D. O'Sullivan, F. Keighley, A. Shields, J. Pitcon, A. Killop, M. Delaney, S. Gray, S. Griffiths, Semmens, Taka, Mason, L. Moerua, Mangu, Mason, Raku, R. Hurley, Allen, Baby Gresham, W. Anderson, Wallace, J. Pratt, D. Mitchell, J. Barnes, A. Hope, F. R. Mathews, Grey Poutawera, Ohlsen and F. Wells.

After general discussion on matters affecting the club., a most onthusiastic meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring secretary, Mr J. Devine.
