MEDICAL FUND CONCERT.

The concert promoted by the Pio Pio settlers combined with Te Kuiti residents in aid of the Pio Pio Medical Fund, which is to be held in the Tq Kuiti Town Hall to-morrow, night, promises to meet with the success it deserves. The promoters have left nothing undone to assure success. A specially fine programme has been arranged and the organisation of the function generally is in capable hands. A feature of the evening, it is said, will be the singing of Mr Poehin, of Pio Pio, who possesses an excellently trained tenor voice of unusual quality. The programme is 'highly varied and should appeal to all. Recitations by proved performers are interspersed with solos, part songs and instrumental items. The piano for the evening is being kindly lent by Mr Robinson, of Te "Kuiti. Tickets are on sale throughout the town and it is to be hoped the public will respond liberally in the interests of the settlers generally.
