POSTAL FACILITIES.
BOXES AT RAILWAY STATION. In connection with the movement inaugurated by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Cummerce or the placing of posting boxes at the Te Kuiti railway station for the receipt of letters by the night express to Auckland and Wellington, the following letter has been received by Mr A. Scholes, chairman of the Waitomo County Council: —• "Sir, —In reference to your representations in this office as to the need for a posting box on tne Te Kuiti railway station platform, to be cleared to enable the correspondence to connect with the north and south bound express trains, I beg to inform you that authority has been given for a box to be erected, and that arrangements have been made for it 3 clearance. The box will be cleared during the day by an officer of this department, and at night, before the arrival of the first express train, by an officer of the Railway Department. I herewith return the letter to you of March last from the hon. secretary, Te Kuiti Chamberof Commerce. —D. ROBERTSON,. Secretary."
