AMUSEMENTS.
EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY
What is advertised as the programme of the season will be produced at Te Kuiti Town Hall on Monday night by the Empire Company. A great novelty and one that should appeal to large numbers will be the film showing the different characters mentioned in Chas. Dickens' bocks. Short sketches from Dickens' best known works, acted before the original places and houses mentioned by the author will be thrown on the screen, such well known characters as Pickwick at the Old Leather Bottle Inn, Jerry Croucher at Temple Bar, Daniel Guilp at the Old Curiosity Shop, are just a few of those that will be shown. The sensational piece of the evening will be "A Fight to Death," a stirring picture nearly 2000 feet in length. Then there will be scenics. topicals and comics in abundance. With such a programme the Tuwn Hall should hold a record audience on Monday evening.
