FOOTBALL.

MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. A largely attended meeting of the above union was held last evening, delegates being present from the following clubs: Te Kuiti, Otorohanga, Mangapehi, Hangatiki, Tanehopuwai, Waimiha and Te Kuiti Athletic Clubß. Mr E. G. Falwasser occupied the chair. The correspondence as read was received. Resolved that the Waimiha Club be admitted to the union subject to a satisfactory arrangement being made with the King Country Union. The Te Kuiti Athletic Club was affiliated with the union. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Major Lusk; president, Mr E. C. Falwasser; vice-presidents, Messrs Cowley, A. Scholes, J. Gray, A. W. Hogg, A. F. Howarth and C. Searancke; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. S. Gresham; management committee. Messrs N. C. Matthew, W. J. Worthington, P. Mora, N. B. Lusk, and A. F. Howarth; auditor, Mr L. C. Harton; delegates to South Auckland Rugby Union, Messrs Matthew, Mora, Rothery and N. B. Lusk; selection committee, to be appointed by management committee. The following sub-committee was appointed to meet the King Country Union re the definition of boundaries between the two unions Messrs Falwasser, Mora and Mackay. It was resolved that the club fixtures should start on May 18th, nominations to close on May 14th, the executive committee to draw fixtures on Tuesday evening, May 14th. All clubs are asked to hoTB themselves in readiness to start the first round on the 18th inst.

The following club colours were registered:—Otorohanga, first grade, self green, second grade, red and black; Waimiha. senior, red and black, junior, maroon; Te Kuiti, senior, blue and white; Tanehoptnvai, senior, red and white: Hangatiki, to be decided; Mangapehi, senior, black; Te Kuiti Athletic, senior, light and dark blue.

An advertisement appears in this issue calling a meeting of Te Kuiti Football Club for Saturday evening in the Chronicle offica, at S o'clock. As the business is urgent it is hoped that a large number of members and intending members will attend.
