Mr Lang, M.P., speaking to an interview in the presence of Mr Massey, who said he himself was too busy, said Mr Mackenzie had no right to claim that his Cabinet waß a farmers' Ministry, as the only farmer in it was Mr Macdonald; then, again, out of ten Ministers threejdefinitely favoured the leasehold. He denied the reading of the Payne letter had caused Mr Massey to lose the division session, as what saved the Government was Sir Joseph Ward's promise to reßign.
