BOROUGH STREET FORMATION.

WORK TO BE STOPPED

At Wednesday evening's Borough Council meeting, when the matter of street works came up for discussion, C-r Julian said he was strongly of opinion that no more new work should Be undertaken in the Borough during the winter. To attempt new formation was only stirring up mud in front of people's doors. In addition, the cost was too great and the work could be done fifty per cent, cheaper in the spring. He moved that no tenders for new work be accepted at present. Other Gounci lors agreed with the sentiments expressed and the motion was carried.
