TE KUITI TOWN BAND.
At a meeting held in Mr McDonald's shop a« advertised, _ those present resolved themseives into a committee with the object of promoting the formation of a town band. Mr McDonald was voted to the chair, and Mr Robinson was elected secretary pro tem.
The following resolutions were recorded: — That the namo of the band be "Te Kuiti Town Band."
That at the earliest possible date a concert be held, a committee to be appointed to arrange a programme, which is to include vocal and instrumental items. That a subscription list be opened. A list was opened and several donations were given and promised. Over a dozen players have offered their names as being willing to join the band. Players and others willing to help are invited to leave their names at Robinson's music depot, Mr McDonald's boot stores, or with the King Country Chronicle. The meeting was adjourned till Monday next, sth May, at Mr McDonald's shop.
