Auckland, This Day

The Governor, who is a member of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows, having expressed a desire to witness an ordinary working lodge meeting, attended the Fountain of Friendship Lodge last night. In reply to speeches, his Excellency said he felt intense sympathy with the Order of which they were members. He could not hevtcr fulfil his mission a 9 representative of the King than by associating himself on an equality with an Order of this kind.
