INQUEST AT OTOROHANGA.

The adiourned inquest concerning the death of. John Farre'l was resumed on Saturday last before Mr J. B. Teasdale and a jury of four. T. Sccwans stated that he left home about 7 p.m. to look for a man. Called at Solomon's but did not find the man. Was only about two minutes. Saw a man whom he now knew to be the deceased lying back in a barber's chair. Went in"by the door at the back. Solomon was there and appeared quite drunk. Larsen also was there, and had a bottle in his pocket.
The police had been informed that this witness saw deceased lying in the yard outside, hut the witness denied it.and the informant also denier! that he said witness saw Farrell outside. This closed the evidence, and Mr Finlay, on behalf of Solomon, addressed the jury for some time. After twenty minutes the jury returned a verdict that the deceased, John Farrell, died frum sycnope of the heart, accelerated by excessive drinking.
