NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Te Kuiti Borough Council, held on the twentysixth day of March, 1912, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held on Wednesday, the first day of May, 1912, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Rora street, Te Kuiti: "That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Part XLII, of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "The Public Health Act, 1908," "The Public Health Amendment Act, 1910," and in pursuance of all and every other powers and provisions in that behalf contained or implied in any statute or ordinance enabling the Council in that behalf the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes by way of Special Order, Bylaws, to be called "The Waterworks, Drainage, and Minimum Building Area By-laws, 1912." The said By-laws are divided into five parts, numbered from 1- to 5 in elusive, each of which part is divided into sections, or subsections. The said parts are as follows:

Part 1. Part 2. —Penalties. Part 3. —Waterworks. Part 4. —Drainage. Part 5. —Minimum Building Area. The object and purport of the proposed By-laws are to cause penalties to be inflicted for non-compliance therewith, regulate and control the water supply and the drainage and general sewerage system, and fix minimum areas for building sites. A full copy of these By-laws is deposited at the office of the Te Kuiti Borough Council, Rora street, Te Kuiti, and will be open for inspection during office hours, from April 22nd, 1912, until the said Ist day of May, 1912. PURSUANT to section 7 of "The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908," I hereby give notice that an election will be held on WEDNESDAY. the twenty-fourth day of April 1912, for the purpose of electing Five Councillors for the Otorohanga Native Township Council and I hereby appoint the Council's Offices, Tuhoro street, Otorohanga, as the place and Thursday, the ISth day of April, 1912, as the day for the nomination of candidates for such office.
