PIO PIO TOWN HALL.

The new town hall for Pio Pio us now almost completed and the formal opening is fixed to take place on May 9th at 2.30 p.m. Great credit is due to those who have promoted the erection of the hall, which is a fine roomy structure. The main hall has a floor space of 50 x 30 feeb with a porch 10 x 12 feet and a stage 18 x 14 feet. Special attention has been paid to the conveniences necessary in connection with social functions for which the hall is specially adapted, in the shape of two dressing rooms which should provide ample accommodation. The building has been erected at a cost of over £4OO. At the opening ceremony a large attendance is anticipated and all are cordially invited. Special attractions to the ceremony will be provided by the Maoris who will give an exhibition of haka and poi dancing.
