FORMATION OF TOWN BAND.

To the Editor. Sir, —During the week I have been requested by several bandsmen in Te Kuiti to endeavour to form a brass band in the district. Kindly allow me space, therefore, through the medium of your paper, to invite correspondence frcyn ail interested with a view to the formationn of such an institution. Respectable young men, who are really anxious to learn would receive tuition free, and in six months, if we all put our "shoulders to the wheel." To Kuiti wilf possess a band able to render a fairly acceptable programme of music.—l am, etc., R. B. GOSSNELL, Te Kuiti, Aprii 21th, 1912.
