OTOROHANGA'S PROGRESS.

— LOAN PROPOSALS CARRIED

By Telegraph. Own Correspondent. Otorohanga, This Day.

That the ratepayers of Otorohanga are prepared to back up the Town Board in a progressive movement is shown by the poll in connection with the raising of a loan of £2050 to form and metal the streets being carried unanimously. Forty-four votes were recorded, all being in favour of the proposal. Tenders for the work close to-day and work is to be completed within six months. As the river around the town abounds with metal, the loan money will go a long way.
