The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: — At Te Awamutu on Saurday, 23rd, we had a yarding of 538 cattle. Prices:—Fat cows £5 2s 6d to £5 10s, fat heifers £5 7s, small fat steers £1 14s, 3 year steers in very forward condition £6 15s, 2h year steers £4 18s to £5, 18 months to 2 year steers £3 9s to £3 17s, IS months steers £3 Is to £3 6s, empty cows in forward condition £4 10s to £4 17s 6d, sorted cows £2 19s to £3 15s, 2 year heifers been with bull £4 Is to £4 6s, best calves 3Cs to 455, others 24s to 31s, medium draught gelding £2l ss, weaner pigs lis 6d. At Ohaupo on 26th, we had a medium entry of cattle and sheep. Prices:—Fat cows £5 2s to £6 12s 6d, 16 month steers £3 to £3 12s 6d, empty cows £3 4s to £4 12s, calves 27s to 425, heavy bulls £5 15s to £7 ss, full mouth ewes 6s 6d to 7s 3d, lambs 7s 6d to Bs, culls 4s.

At Te Kuiti on 27th 983 head of catttle and 4000 sheep were penned. The cattle were mainly 2 and 3 year steers of good quality and condition, and were all required by buyers present. Sheep were rather dull of sale. Prices: —Grown steers £6 3s to £6 3a 6d, 21 to 3 year steers £4 14s to £5 ss, 2~year steers £4 7s to £4 9s, IS month steers £3 to £3 15s, 15 month steers £3 to £3 7s, calves 30s to 355, 24 year heifers in calf £5 to £5 2s, 2 year do. £4 4s to £4 10s, empty cows in fresh condition £3 10s to £4 4s, fat bullocks £7 15s to £8 17s 6d, woolly lambs 0s 7d to 8s 6cl, full mouth ewes 6s to 7s Id, 2 tooth ewes 10s lid to 13s, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 12s to 14s, 2 tooth Lincoln rams 2 to 3 guineas, 2 tooth Romney rams Ift tn 2J- guineas, 4 tooth to full mouth ewes lis 5d to lis 6d. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— We held our usual stock sale in the Ohura Valley at our Matiere yards on Tuesday, March 2Gth. There was a large attendance and a splendid yarding of 10b"3 head of cattle, mostly 2, 3 and 4 yaer steers; also 1482 sheep. There was a keen demand for all cattle, but sheep were dull of sale.
