BOROUGH COUNCIL BY-LAWS.

SPECIAL MEETING

A special meeting of Te Kuiti Borough Council was held last night, when the proposed by-laws came up for discussion. The drainage and water by-laws "V were read and passed without debate. BUILDING BY-LAWS. The proposed" by-laws in connection with fixing minimum areas for buildings within the Borough gave rise to considerable discussion. After lengthy consideration of the various points it was decided that the suburban area be reduced to 1-oth of an acre with forty feet frontage and that the brick area of the town be a special area exempt from the operations of the by-law in so far as present sections are concerned. The meeting for confirming the passing of the by-laws was fixed for May 13th.
