MAROKOPA SPORTS.
Own Correspondent. The following are the results of the sports, held under the management of the Marokopa Athletic Sports Club, on Hjiday, March loth. The total levenue for the day amounted to £46 Is, as compared with £45 Is 6d of last year. The cpmmittee has now a balance to carry forward of over £2O, and it is expected that more will be made at an early date to acquire a piece of land for a sports ground:— Boat Race. —Harry Richards 1, T. Vicary 2. Swimming Race. —Tupu 1, J. Tua 2. Maiden Race. —E. V. Blake 1, R. C. Honore 2. Ladies' Bracelet. —E. V. Blake 1, Lance Wiliison 2. Tilting at the Rnig.— R. Barlow and F. Bell tied for first place. Hurdle Race.—Percy Moke 1, Geo. Richards 2. 220 Yards Handicap. —■ E. V. Blake 1, Tupu 2.' Running Long Jump.—Percy Moke 1, E. V. Blake 2. Half-mile Handiap. —H. Symons 1, Lance Wiliison 2. Hop, Step and Jump.—Cooper 1, H. Symons 2. Mile Handicap.—H. Richards 1, G. Richards 2. Hammer Throwing.—T. Vicary 1, S. Vicary 2. Chopping, loin Standing Block. — T. Vicary 1, A. Patterson 2. Boys Race (under 11). Percy Klein 1, Tom Tahi 2. Boys Race (under 15). —Pu Kamana 1, E. Haylock 2. Settlers' Race. —G. Richards 1, H. Richards 2. The gold medal for the points prize was won by E. V. Blake with 11 points, with Geo. Richards second with 10 points.
