WAIRAU ELECTION PETITION.

At the Election Court, Edward Stone Parker, after being sworn complained that he had been threatened by the solicitor for petitioners with "three years on the road" if he didn't give certain evidence. He deposed that he had lent motor cam to Mr McCallum for election dayß, but no promise of payment was made or implied. Arthur Wiffen, who was a candidate at the first ballot, said he himself had Bhouted at practically every place he had visited, and Baw no impropriety therein. The court adjourned till to-day.
