ATHLETICS.

The match over three distances between Donaldson and Postle, at Auckland, is already creating a deal of interest in athletic circles. There is little doubt that some fine sprinting will be witnessed, but judging from past performances the match is a gift to Donaldson if he strips in his best condition. The 75yds event should be won by Postle, who is held to be the world's champion at this distance, but in racs beyond 100 yds Donaldson has so frequently asserted his superiority that it would be a matter uf general surprise if Postle was able to turn the tables on this occasion. Still it is not often that the Auckland public have the opportunity of seeing two of the world's best in action and the contest is sure to be of great draw.
