Millar, expressing the regret of the federation that the Government which previously has taken a prompt stand to punish flagrant breaches of the law dealing with strikes, should, at a time when this species of lawlessness should be dealt with firmly, shows Bigns of weakness in its administration. The federation notes that no action has been taken in connection with the Auckland drainage works strike. It also asks that the amount of the department's claim in connection with the Wellington tram strike be increased.
