The Daily Chronicle has published a Christiania telegram, signed by Amundsen, stating that the South Pole was attained from the 14th to the 17th of December. The Chronicle publishes Captain Amundsen's story to-morrow. Sir [Ernest Shackleton States that Captain Amundsen's taking of three days' continuous observations at the Pole would enable him to safely assume his poistion to be accurate. A flying snapshot was less reliable than a continuous series of observations.
