WAIKATO CENTRAL SHOW.
We are pleased to find that the entries for the Waikato Central Show are exceedingly heavy, being the largest number yet received, viz.: Horses 760, cattle 415, sheep 150, pigs 101, dogs and sundries 550 197<i. The entries in the cattle sections form an easy record for the Auckland province, and will form one of the most interesting features of the show. The Holstein classes are exceptionally well filled and are a sure indication of the rising popularity of this useful breed of .iairy cattle. All The horse classe3 are well filled, the draught section being one of the best yet got together in the Waikato. All competitions will be keenly contested. An event of special interest will be the class for troters. The committtee is hard at work preparing for the reception of stock and getting their grounds in condition for the eventful days. We are requested to state that hot water will be provided for visitors free of cost, and that special trains will run from al! stations.
