DUNEDIN WOOL SALE.
The third wool sale ol the season wsb held on Wednesday, and was attended by practically all the buyers who were at previous saled. The number o£ bales catalogued was 11 188, as against 9158 last year. T..e catalogue did not include much wool of outstanding quality, and it consisted chiefly of medium to good crossbreds and taalfbreda and merinos. The sale was erratic, but on the whole prices were up to expectations. About 25 per cent, of the wool offered was nassed in, sellers declining to accept Seed values. Several lots were afterwards sold privately at slightly higher rates. The following is the range of nrices— Medium to good merinos B|d to 9id, inferior 7d to 7Jd, super halfbred lid to 12d, medium to good 9|d to lOd, inferior 7£d to Bd, super crossbred IOJd to lljd, medium to good B£d to 10d, inferior 6|d to 7|d.
