BOWLS.

Several matches in the club competitions have been played during last week, good games eventuating. The veteran player. Major Lusk, scored a meritorious win in the handicap singles. The time for the various club matches has been extended, as it was found to be impossible to get the games off by the arranged date, viz., the 10th inst. The green i=» playing well at the present time, though the water supply is weak. It is ardently hoped that the borough supply will ere long reach the ground. The Te Awamutu Club have written asking for a match with the local club either at Te Awamutu or on the local green.
