Own Correspondent. A meeting of the executive committee was held here last Wednesday evening, when there were present — Messrs A. J. Ross (in the chair), Budge, Walter Wylie and the secretary. With regard to the proposed public hall, it was agreed to ask Messrs Cooper, F. Ogle and Danka to join the executive committee, with the object of increasing the representation of .settlers. These gentlemen were accordingly elected. A sub-committee was set up to deal with the question of procuring a site. It was resolved that the Crown land reserve should be used if possible. A vote of thanks as passed to Mr Cooper for his offer of a site. It was resolved to hold another concert and dance on March 29th, to further in further aid of the building fund. The last concert realised close on £7, and it is hoped fthat the next one will be even more successful.
