Following the issue of a warrant, and the subsequent arrest at San Francisco of MacPherson, accountant of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, on a charge of embezzlement, the company has now issued a warrant for the arrest of F. I). Brown, Australian general manager of the company on charges of conspiring with MacPherson to defraud the company and of embezzlement.

Brown is absent in India. It is stated that the total of the irregularities is nearly £23,000.
