FettWs in this district are very busy dairying and nl) tho settlers are now supplying tho Pio I'io dairy factory.
There ore over 10 acres of turnips all of which arc looking well, being cultivated, settlers recognising tho necessity of winter fodder for their dairy herds. A concert and dance in to be held at the beginning of next month in aid of tho Congregational Church. A monster picnic is to he held before tho school re-opens. Settlers ore very anxious about the commencing of the metalling of the main road. They do not blame the County Council but are very dipsatisfied about the slow manner in which the Public Works Department, are dealing with the plans and specifications, which were forwarded some, time ago.
