PAEMAKO.
Own Correspondent.
The private telephone line in the Paemako district is now completed with the exception of the connection of Mr Newcombe's residence. The line has been working since early in December, and is already being found a great boon by the subscribers. Connections have been established with the residences of Messrs R. Bailey, J. Wall and L. Berry (Puketiti), R. Boddv (Paearuhe). N. A. Robison and T. W. Evans (Paekaka), and G. Churcher (Glenlea), while Mr Newcombe's is to be put in as soon as possible. The main line and branches are estimated to cover a distance of about twenty miles, and the main line is connected with the Paemako Bureau.
