OHURA A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
Own Correspondent. The executive committee met at Niho Niho on 13th inst. Correspondence was received from the secretary of the King Country A. and P. Association, explaining as their show would be held on February 15th and the ram fair on the 16th, the executive did not deem it advisable that the Ohura show should be held during the same week, as the Ohura people would be prevented from attending the show at Te Kuiti and vice versa, also exhibitors would be prevented from exhibiting at both shows. Mr S. Foster, Manunui, wrote that he had been unable to arrange with the late secretary as to the disposal of the prize in the weight guessing competition.—Resolved that the matter be attended to. The president explained that so far all efforts to obtain a freehold site for a show ground had been unavailing. Arrangements had been made to lease the present ground for the ensuing year. The owners of the Waitangata junction site would not lease or sell at present.-—Resolved that the present site be secured for the ensuing show.
The rate of annual subcription was fully discussed, and it was resolved that 10a 6d be the annual fee to admit member and lady and member's family under 12 years free to show ground. Resolved that member's entrance fee be half, and that all fees must be paid by March Ist to allow members this advantage. It was finally decided that the show be held on March 14th.
