The local players have been getting in some very good net practices uf late and the form shown by the players is highly encoruraging. The New South Wales eleven this week piled up a total of over five hundred runs against the Wheat Staters, Bardsley compiling a faultless 177. Barbour and Minett, two of the young Sydney players also batted brilliantly, the former getting 122 and the latter just failing to reach the century. per evidently went to bat well down on the list and was content to play carefully as is evidenced by his score of 21 not out.
