KING COUNTRY CENTRAL A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

The executive committee of the above association met yesterday. A letter was received stating that his Excellency the Governor was not yet certain whether he could be present at the forthcoming show. As soon as the date was fixed for hia residence in Auckland, the society would be advised.

The secretary of the Ohura A. and P. Society wrote, respecting the date of their show, and asking whether it would be advisable to hold it the same week as the King Country Central show.—lt was decided to reply to the effect that this committee did not think it would be advisable to hold both shows in one week, as Ohura people might be prevented from attending the show at Te Kuiti and vice versa, shuld the shows be held in the same week. It might also be awkward for exhibitors. It was also decided to forward the names of the judges, when appointed, to the secretary of the Ohura Society. It was also pointed out that as the ram fair was being held on the day following the show no doubt a large number of Ohura settlers would like to be present.

Messrs Bennett and Green, nurserymen, offered to forward an exhibit of pot plants, fruit, and cut flowers; they also"forwarded a donation of 10s 6d. —lt was decided to wait until the amount of space available was ascertained before granting same. The following new members were elected: —P. D. Tenent, H. Thorns, D. Webster, R. Maddil! and Moerua. The matter of grassing the cleared ground was left in the hands of the president and secretary. It was resolved that the president and Messrs Boddie and Somerville be appointed a sub-committee to nominate judges. The president and Mr Somerville and the secretary were asked to interview Mr White, stationmaster, regarding special trains.
