KIRITEHERE-MOEATOA.

Own Correspondent. Mr Wynyard, surveyor, is camped near Mr Jones' farm on the upper reaches of the Marokopa river, where he will be located til! Christmas. A new butchery business, run by Mr Walter Richards, has commenced

at Marokopa, and one may now vary one's breakfast with sausages, as the new establishment possesses a meatchopping machine to turn out that tender and juicy article. The new shop is up-to-date and sanitary in its internal arrangements, a matter bound to be appreciated by all. It is rumoured that a meeting of the committee of the Marokopa Hall Co., will be convened at an early date.

Most of the settlers are consistently opposed to merging any of portion of this country into Kawhia, in which place they have no interests. The "young men" of these parts are being steadily married off, four blushing brides having been led to the altar during the past year or so.
