HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The committee of the Te Kuiti Horticultural Society met last evening when final arrangements for the forthcoming show were made. It was decided to extend the time for receiving entries to Thursday night, The entrance fee for the cottage garden cmpetition fixed at 2s 6d.
Exhibitors in the table decoration class are requested to supply their own tables, which are not to be more than 4ft by 3ft. Messrs Ogier and Stanton were appointed judges in the cottage garden competition. It was decided to award a second prize of 10s 6d for this competition. -Exhibits of flowers will be sold by auction after the show, the proceeds to be' devoted to the funds of the society.
It was decided to obtain extra stands for exhibits.
Members who have not obtained their tickets from the secretary are requested to do so before the show as members can only obtain free entrance on presentation of their ticket. Exhibits will be staged from the following: Messrs Lippiatt Bros., Mr H. Brett, Dr Douglas, A. J. Sheppherd, Messrs Bennett and Green, Mr Hail and others, these in themselves should prove to be a show worth seeing.
