BOWLING AND CROQUET.

The official opening of the Te Kuiti Bowling and Croquet Club took place on Thursday atfernoon last. In spite of the inclement weather a large number gathered on the ground. Mr Stevens (president) welcomed the visitors and declared the green open. Mrs Stevens having rolled the jack, play was indulged in. The customary games, President's rinks v. Vice-presi-dent's, resu ted in a win for the president, the totals being 75 to 52. Refreshments were supplied by the ladies and much appreciated.
