POLLING DAY.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR RETURNS. Polling day will be on Thursday next and complete arrangements have been made for getting the returns from the various places through on Thursday night. The various telegraph offices and telephone exchanges will be kept open till midnight or, if required, till 2 a.m. on Friday. At Te Kuiti arrangements have been made by the Chronicle to have the results posted at the office as they come through. The Chronicle has also made arrangements with the Princess Picture Company to have the results screened in the Skating Rink, as the returns come to hand. After the ordinary picture programme has concluded at 10 o'clock the public will be admitted to the Rink free of charge and the results will continue to be shown until a late hour.
At Otorohanga a Chronicle representative will be in attendance posting the results which will be nealt with as they arrive.
