AMUSEMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY,

The programme to be presented at Te Kuiti Town Hall on Monday evening next by the above company has had a very successful run in Hamilton and Cambridge during the past three nights. On Wednesday night at the Hamilton Town Hall, many of the items had the unqiue distinction of being encored by the large audience present. The papers speak of it as being without doubt the very best thing attempted to date by the Empire Company. Of a light and varied description, it is said to be of a nature that cannot, fail to please all patrons. "One of the cleverest and at the same time funniest vaudeville turns ever seen in ihe Waikato," is the description given of a series showing the famous Harrison troupe of acrobats performing their marvellous feats. The scenics, especially the "Lakes and Alps of Pletorice," are exceptionally good. Hundreds of waterfalls, rushing down the snowclad mountain sides, and the beautiful lake and forest scenery stamp this picture as one of exquisite beauty. Exciting cowboy stories, a splendid issue of Pathe's Gazette, exciting dramas, an industrial series, and several of the funniest of funny comics, all help to make a tiptop programme, one that must be seen to be fully appreciated, so the management assuies us.
