For the grown steers there were very few buyers, and most of this clss were passed. Young cattle were required and practically all of these were sold. Fresh three year steers, up to £G 5s to £7, two year steers to £4 15s, twelve to fifteen months steers £3 7s to £3 15s, nine j to twelve months steers and heifers ' £2 5s to £2 17s 6d, according to condition, empty two year heifers £3 15a to £4 10s, fresh empty cows £3 15s to £4 5«, cows with calves £4 16s, good one and two year bulls £6 Gs to £l2 12s, others £3 3s to £5 ss, a few springing heifers £G to £S.

At Hamilton on Ifith inst, we yarded 106 pigs 1135 sheep, 188 fat cattle and 745 store and dairy cattle. There was good competition for all classes and very little remained unsold. Well fattened steers, made from £9 to £lO 10s, light weight steers £7 5s to £8 10s. fat rows and heifers £5 10s to £7 ss, Holstein heifers 1J year and almost purebred £7 7s to £9 9s, Jersey cross heifers sam« age 4J to 6A gns, Shorhorn cross heifers 15 to IS months old £3 7s Gd to £4, good yearling steers £3 5s to £3 10s, small yearlings £2 l(Js tu £2 15s, springing heifers £5 to £7 ss, bulla £2 '.!s to £0 9s, fat wethers in wool 21s. fat shorn wethers 1 (5s to 17s 3d, fat laniLis 32s fid, store wethers in wool 15s 3d, hoggets in wool 13s to 13s 9d. aged empty ewes in wool 10s 6d, ewes with lambs 17s 6d. Pigs sold well. At Waihou on Friday we had a yarding of G39 sheep, nearly all fat, 4G pigs and 13<Sfi head of cattle. Sheep sold well, shorn fat wethers 15s 6d to 16s Sid, fat lambs 12s lOd, woolly hoggets 13s to 15s Gd, wearier pigs 15s to 18s. The cattle were a well-bred lot, and comprised 80 fat cattle, 50 bulls, 50 dairy cows and heifers and 1200 store cattle of mixed ages. Competition was good throughout, and with very few exceptions all were disposed of. Fat steers made £8 2s 6d to £9 12s, fat cows and heifers £5 to £7 3s, fresh empty cows £3 15s to £4 10s, fresh 2 to 2h year steers £4 15s to £5 3s, same age steers not so forward or so well bred £3 15s to £4 ss, choice twevle to fitfeen months steers of a good quality £3 5s to £3 10s, same age heifers £3 5s to £3 17s, mixed yearling snot so toward £2 10s to £2 l(is, bulls 4 to 10 gns, dairy cows and heifers £5.5s to £8 10s.
