SERIOUS STABBING AFFRAY.
A sensational stabbing affray occurred at Frank ton on Saturday afternoon last. A man named Axel Suirtinge had been drinking at the hotel in company with three other men, and eventually accused the others of robbing him. It is alleged that Suirtinge attacked the men with a pocket knife and stabbed each of them in the groin. The men were attened to by Dr-i Brewis, Goring and Reece, and afterwards taken to Hamilton Hospital. The injuries in each case are serious and it is not yet known whether the men will recover. Accused appeared at the Magistrate's Court, before Mr F. O'B. Louhgnan, S.M., on Monday, and was remanded till to-day.
