Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our usual fat stork sale at Westiield on November 15th. We quote :-—Beef —An average yarding. The quality was hardly up to average. The demand was about the same as last week, light weights being a shade easier. Choice pens of prime ox sold at 24s to 25s per 1001b, extra to 255, ordinary quality ox at 22s to 23s per 1001b, cow and heifer beef at '_'i)s to 225, rough beef was easier. Veal A very large yarding, nearly double the usual quantity, consequently price were much lower. Very choice heavy calves sold at 33s to -3 ss, good 18s to 2Ss. other 3s to 15s. Mutton—An average yarding. Prices were practically the same as last quotations. Prime woolly wethers sold at 22s to 265, shorn do. 18s to 20s, medium quality shorn wethers at 15s to 17s, woolly ewes 15s to 20s. shorn ewes 14s to 17s. Lamb —An average yarding. Prices were a shade higher than last week. Prime heavy selling at 15s to ISs, good 12s to Ms, light !)s (3d to lis. Pork--A small yarding which sold at last week's rates. Heavy porkers sold at 38s to 51s, lighter 28s to 345.

We held our Ngaruawahia stock sale on the 10th inst., when a small yarding of cattle came forward, more than half the entries failing to come in on account of the very bad state of the weather. Buyers from ail round the district were present, mostly in quest of grown bullocks, which unfortunately did not come forward. Bidding was not very brisk, but we were successful in disposing of most of the yarding after the sale.
