KIRITEHERE-MOEATOA.

Own Correspondent. In connection with the trouble which has arisen in regard to the carting of poles for the telephone line it is well known there is abundance of splendid fencing timber along the route of the line, mntai, rimu and totara in plenty. In erecting part of the line it would be a good plan to use matai and totara foot posts and bolt rimu shafts on to these. Such a mode would have a good deal to commend it. By adoping this plan and procuring some of the timber on the spot, a troublesome delay, and many excuses, might be avoided.
