Messrs Dalgety and Co. report on their Hamilton stock sale on 9th inst., as follows:—We had a full yarding of cattle and a fair one of sheep. The attendance was good, buyers from the surrounding districts being present, and competition throughout keen under the hammer. Nearly the whole yarding changed hands. We quote Shorn fat ewes 12s 6d, fat woolly ewes 17s, shorn fat wethers to 17s (3d, fat lambs 12s, fat cows £6 2s 6d to £6 7s, fat cows, light £5 3s to £5 17s, forward bullocks £6 Is, young empty dairy cows from Newstead £6 lis to £6 16s, store cows £3 6s to £3 7s 6d, yearling-steers £2 lis to £3 ss, mixed yearlings £2 8s to £2 16s, grade Jersey dairy heifers sgns to s?sgns, grade Jersey dairy heifers, small 4Jgns to 42gns, grade Holstein and Jersey yearlings £4 2s to £4 4s, 2 year dairy heifers £4 9s, yearling dairy heifers £2 lGs to £3 9s. run cows and calves £4, springing cows £6 to £7 2s Gd, yearlng bu!!3 up to 6gns, yearling grade Holstein bulls lOJgns to llgns, porkera 25s to 31s, slip 3 lGs to 21s, wcaners 14s.
